Services for Leola Everitt, 90, of Caldwell, Ida., who died Thurs., Aug. 21, 1975, in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Monday at Robison Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian, with the Rev. Dale Vandergrift officiating. Interment will follow at the Meridian Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 7, 1885, in Springfield, Illinois. She moved with her family to Alamosa, Colo., and married Couerde Vine Everitt Feb. 14, 1906 at Mosca, Colo. They homesteaded in Leslie, Idaho and later lived in Eden and Kimberly. They moved to Meridian in 1929 where they operated the Meridian Grain Elevator.
She was a member of the Meridian Methodist Church. She also taught high school and during the war she was a parachute packer at Gowen Field. She cooked at Cloverdale School.
Survivors include 4 sons, Harold D. of Idaho Falls, William F. of Salem, Ore., Herbert E. of Pocatello, and Gerald L. of Kirkland, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Althea P. Cerveny of Caldwell; one brother, Art Winner of Barstow, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Flatt of Boulder, Colo.; and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one granddaughter and 11 brothers and sisters.
