Robert J.”Bob” Stallbaumer Sr. Frankfort, Kansas passed away Thursday, October 23, 1987 at a Topeka, Kansas hospital. He was 66 years of age.
He was born February 7,1921 at Lillis, Kansas the son of Joseph M. and Mary E. Stallbaumer
Bob was married to Kathryn Flaherty at Frankfort, Kansas.
Mr. Stallbaumer was a farmer and stockman. He established and operated Stallbaumer Fertilizer Service near Frankfort.
He was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church at Frankfort and Knights of Columbus Council at Lillis, Kansas.
He served two terms of the Kansas Fertilizer and Chemical Association board of directors and was a founding member and board member of Marshall County, Kansas Rural Water District No.3. He received the Marshall County Bankers Award for Soil Conservation in 1965.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Beth Fund, Wamego, Kansas, Mrs. Jean Ann Holland, Centralia, Kansas; four sons, Robert J. Stallbaumer Jr., Leo J. Stallbaumer and Donald Stallbaumer, all of Frankfort, Kansas, Jim Stallbaumer, Rossville, Kansas; his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Stallbaumer, Lincoln, Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. Louise Wagner, Lincoln, Nebraska; three brothers, Cletus Stallbaumer, Dryham, England, Valerian “Val” Stallbaumer, Wichita, Kansas, Joe Stallbaumer, St. Joseph, Missouri; and 13 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 1987 at the Annunciation Catholic Church with Father James Shaughnessy officiating. Burial was in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas.
