Son of Frederick Luecke and Henrietta Stockmeier. Husband of Bertha S. L. Strassburger. Father of Edgar August Luecke, Laura Emilie Lickerman, Lenora Sophie Ahrens, Esther R. Greenewald, Paul Carl Luecke, Walter W. Luecke, Herbert M. Luecke, Victor J. Luecke and Anita Norma Bramstedt.

Fred L. Luecke

Fred L. Luecke, 81, a well-known retired farmer and life-long resident of the town of Herman, died Monday afternoon at St. Nicholas hospital after a lingering illness.

He was born in the town of Herman Feb. 1, 1867, and attended school there. He was married to Miss Bertha Strassburger of the town of Mosel on Jan. 6, 1892.

Active in community affairs, Mr. Luecke served as chairman of the town of Herman for 13 years, was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church at Howards Grove all of his life, and served as trustee of the church for a number of years.

He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Laura) Lickerman and Mrs. Michael (Esther) Greenewald, both of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Milton (Anita) Bramstedt, of San Gabriel, Calif.; five sons, Edgar and Walter , of the town of Herman, Paul, of Plymouth, and Victor and Herbert, Sheboygan; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Dora Marquardt, of Lincoln, Ill.; and one brother, William, of Manawa, Wis. His wife and one daughter, Lenora, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran church at Howards Grove at 2 p. m. Thursday, the Rev. Victor Mennicke, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Sheboygan, officiating, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Frienda may view the body at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels from Wednesday morning until 11 a.m. Thursday and at the church from noon Thursday until the time of services.
