Antone A., son of Antone and Agnes Kindler, was born in Johnson county, Iowa, June 26, 1857, and passed away at Beloit, Kansas, August 15, 1933.

He came with his parents to Jewell county Kansas in 1871 and homesteaded a place near Esbon upon which he resided until his death.

On January 30th, 1882 he was married to Emma Moravek. To this union was born eight children. One son, Joseph, W. preceded him in death.

Those surviving him are: four sons, George W., Charles, Frank L., Ernest of Esbon, and three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Porter of Beloit, Kansas, Mrs. J. W. Hajny of Esbon, Kansas, and Mrs. C. R. Cline of Lebanon, Kansas.

Besides his children he leaves to mourn his departure, his devoted wife, three brothers, Frank of Esbon Kansas, William of Coolidge, Kansas and Albert W. of Ervihg, Nebraska and one sister, Mrs. Emma Spies of St. Catherin, Missouri, one half brother, John, of Esbon, Kansas and one half sister, Mrs. Rosa Vaboril of Esbon. Fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild, besides many other relatives and a large circle of friends.

Antone was a kind father, a good husband and a fine neighbor. His friends are numbered by his acquaintances. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held in the U. B. church, Friday afternoon, August 18th, with interment in the Esbon cemetery.

Family writings have his birth as June 26, 1857, and the 1900 US census has June, 1857. Later census records are also consistent with 1857. However, his birth year was given as about 1861 in the US censuses for 1870 and 1880 and the Kansas census for 1875.
