Joseph E. Reinecke, 85, entered into rest after a brief illness at August 30, 2009, at Manor Care Dallastown. He was the husband of Cora M. (McAllister) Reinecke, who recently entered into rest on May 8, 2009.

Joseph was born in Airville, May 21, 1924, and was the son of the late John B. and Nora Barbara (Johnson) Reinecke.

He, along with his wife, were the owners and operators of Reinecke Real Estate in York. Joseph was a tenor soloist and sang with many churches and for numerous events in the area. He was an enthusiastic hunter with a bow and rifle. He was a member of the Yorkshire U.M. Church, the NRA, and was an avid gardener and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family relaxing at Little Pine Creek in Lycoming County at Happy Acres Campground.

He is survived by his five children, Carolyn Bauman and her husband, John, Joseph E. Reinecke Jr, Dennis Reinecke and his wife, Jocelyn, Christine Staats and her husband, Robert and Brian Reinecke of York; five grandchildren, Samantha Lauer, Mitchell Lauer, Ariana OzgaReinecke, Emily Staats and Megan Staats; as well as his sister, Margaret Lloyd of Red Lion.
