SENECA--Donald Regis Sextro, 77, Seneca, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Sextro was an Army veteran of WW II. He later worked for Douglas and Boeing and with Harry Burger, dairy-farming for many years, and with Norm Luckeroth at a veterinary clinic. He and his wife operated the Log Cabin Cafe and managed the North Side Cafe. After he retired he worked part-time for several area businesses.

He was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Baileyville, the son of Frank and Nora Dick Sextro. He attended school in Baileyville and he graduated from Seneca High School.

Mr. Sextro was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, and the Earle W. Taylor Post No. 21 of the American Legion.

He was married to Anita McManus on May 12, 1956, in Tulsa, Okla. She died Jan. 16, 1985.

Survivors include three sons, Don, Houston, Bob, Seneca, and Tom, Holton; two sisters, Marva Altenhofen, Kansas City, Kan.; and Carla Jean Lightfoot, Spring Hill, and nine grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
