Mrs. John J. Winkler, who passed away at her home in Seneca at nine o'clock Thursday morning May 27, 1937, had spent all her life, 53 years, in Nemaha County.

Rose Della Aziere was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Aziere, who were pioneer residents of Nemaha County, born on a farm north of Seneca, January 28, 1884, and a member of a large family whom only a brother John J. Aziere, survives.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her sisters and brothers, Mrs. Mary Casey, Mrs. Ellen McCaffrey, Mrs. Jane Smith, Mrs. Elizabeth Helser, Mrs. Josie McCaffery, Mrs. Ida Stein, Frank Aziere and Jerome Aziere. She was married in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca on November 26 1902 to John J. Winkler. Four sons were born to this union, Francis Winkler, Blaine, Lawrence, Wilfred, Donald Winkler all of Seneca. Besides her husband children and brother, she leaves four grandchildren Bobby and Kenneth, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Winkler of Seneca; and Jerry and Donna Winkler children of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Winkler of Seneca.

Mrs. Winkler was a devoted wife and mother and a loyal to her church and had received the Sacraments of her faith about three hours before she passed away. Mrs. Winkler had been ill for the past two years with a heart ailment and dropsy. She was in bed only two days, suffering a heart attack on Tuesday. She had been employed by the California Perfume company as their Representative in Seneca.

Requiem Mass was offered by her nephew Rev. Charles Aziere O.S.B. of St. Benedict's Abbey. Burial was in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Seneca.
