Lena Reiman, 98, a longtime Dryden resident, died Thursday evening, July 13, 1989, at Colonial Vista Convalescent Center.
She was BORN April 15, 1891, at Walla Walla to Adam and Magdalena Weber. She was raised there and attended nursing school in Chicago.
She worked in the Midwest and then moved to Wenatchee where she married Fred Reiman on Nov. 23, 1919. They lived in Dryden and Odessa and operated an apple ranch until their retirement. Mr. Reiman died in 1982.
Mrs. Reiman was a member of the Dryden Community Church.
Surviving are two sons, Don Reiman of Wenatchee and Howard Reiman of Seattle; two daughters, Dorothy Kristek of Seattle and Arlene Tibbets of Poulsbo; three brothers, David Weber of Spokane, George Weber of Seattle and Sam Weber of Texas; a sister, Edith Farris of Everett; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Braun Funeral Chapel with Pastor Marion Knoll officiating. Internment took place in the Peshastin Cemetery with the following pallbearers: Marvin Reiman, Melvin Reiman, Walt Reiman, Harold Reiman, Harold Weber and Carl Weber. Harvey and Alma Radach sang and played "The Old Rugged Cross and "Amazing Grace".
Memorials are suggested to favorite charities.
The Braun Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
