"Sebastian S. Rubio 1912-2004

Sebastian S. Rubio, of Willcox, died Dec. 13, 2004, at the age of 92.

He was born in Magdalena, Mexico, on Feb. 25, 1912, to Lucas and Manuela (Sanchez) Rubio.

Sebastian came to Willcox in 194. He retired from the City of Willcox as a heavy equipment operator, and he also worked at the Johnson Mine and for Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sons Juan (Shirley) and Manuel (Bobbi), both of Willcox; and his daughter Josie (Robert) Sinohui, of Willcox; along with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded him in death was his parents, his wife Nellie and second wife Rosalia; and two sons Roberto and Jose.

Rosary was said Thursday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m., at Westlawn Chapel. Funeral mass was celebrated Friday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with cremation following. Burial of his cremains was in Sunset Cemetery on Monday, Dec. 20.

Services were under the direction of Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematorium of Willcox."
