COCHRAN-Howard L. Coley, age 81, died Thursday in the Medical Center in Macon. Graveside services are Saturday at 11A.M. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Cemetery with full military honors. -Mr. Coley, born in Dodge County, was the son of the late Wyble C. and Mollie Tyndall Coley. He was retired from the U.S. Army and Stars and Stripe Correspondent. He was former owner of Twiggs New Era and Baptist. -Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Helma H. Coley of Cochran; daughters, Cindy (Buddy) Peacock of Cochran and Gayle (David) Palmer of Franklin, TN; sister, Syble (Jim) Denny of Cochran; grandchildren, Shayne (Cori) Abney of Cochran; Brian (Christy) Abney of Hawkinsville, Tim Palmer of Franklin, TN and Katie Palmer of Atlanta; great grandchildren, Chandler and Ashley Abney of Cochran, Meredith Abney of Hawkinsville and Dylan and Annagrace Palmer of Olive Branch, MS, and pet dog, Mitizie. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to donor's charity of choice. -The family will be at 135 Gayle Street and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Mathis Funeral Home.
