She was born May 2, 1907, at Mayfield, KY, one of ten children of William Neal and wife Lydia, nee Jackson.
As a child, she moved to Missouri from Kentucky. She attended school in the Morehouse School district.
She and her husband Lyle Farrell moved to the area approximately 25 years ago after Mr. Farrell retired.
Mrs. Farrell was very family oriented. She took pride in her grandchildren and their accomplishments.
She enjoyed crafts, especially quilting and crocheting, and she liked to cook, especially for her family. She also liked music.
Mrs.Farrell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lyle Ferrell, in 1971; six brothers, "K.D.," Robert, Charles, Wilbert, John, and Govie Neal; one sister, Louise Ford; and one son-inlaw, Jack Brown.
She is survived by five daughters, Dortha Cocker of Belleville, IL, Wanda Brown of Florissant, Frances Wilson and husband Vernon of Villa Ridge, Audrey Ritter of O'Fallon, IL, and Bonnie Shevlin and husband Tom of Waterloo, IL; one son Harold Farrell and wife Shirley of Mokane; two brothers, Lester Neal of Illinois, and Melton Neal of Dexter; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held March 18 at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, with interment in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Pacific.
The family was served by Bell Funeral Home, Pacific.
