Nelson C. Teeter, 75, Pinecroft, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday at Altoona Hospital, after a brief and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Duncansville, son of the late George and Gertrude (Zeek) Teeter. Surviving are two sons: Guy L. (Amy J.) and Gary L. (Adam) of Altoona; a grandson, J. Thomas; two brothers: Mike and Leon, both in Ohio; three sisters: Bernadette Roesch of Bellwood, Judy Teeter of Hollidaysburg and Lucy McClelland in Florida. He was preceded in death by two brothers: George and John; and a sister, Idabelle Musselman. Nelson retired as a maintenance technician at Boyer Candy Co. and was a rollback driver for Forshey's Garage, Pinecroft. He was a life member of Pinecroft Fire Company. Nelson enjoyed fishing, woodworking and cutting grass. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, and 10-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Faith Baptist Church, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Brother Duey Whitfield officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
