On December 31, 1762, John bought from his father, Jacob, the 176 acre farm for which he (Jacob) got the patent from the Penns in November 1762 (Pat. AA4-84). Berks County deed 6-337 records the transfer of the property from Jacob to John.
Berks County will 1796, page 13, written October 9, 1796, identifies his wife as Justina and children: John (who inherited the family farm), oldest daughter Catherine, and second daughter Justina. Guardianship papers for minor children were filed for : daughters Elizabeth and Sybilla, and son George.
Letter of Testimony was filed December 3, 1796, indicating he died sometime between October 9 and December 3, 1796.
John Miller (Johannes Mueller) was the son of Johann Jacob Mueller (1697-1772) and Catharina Charlotta Loechner (1699-1777), who immigrated to Philadelphia on the "pink" (ship) Johnson 19 September 1732. John Miller married in about 1757 Justina Catharina Brossman. She was born about 1737 and died in 1816 in Tyrone Township, Cumberland County, (now Perry County) where some of her children lived.
