Vivian Catherine Rowe, 78, of Paris died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
The Funeral Mass is to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Seamus Roland officiating. Burial follows at Sylvan cemetery.
A vigil is to be held at 7 p.m. Friday, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with visitation following.
She was born Dec. 17, 1930, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of Edward and Barbara Allway Breit. She was married to Mark Jones Sr. and after his death she married Jack Rowe in Sylvan in 1979. Along with being a homemaker, she owned and operated a beauty shop in Farmers Branch and after having moved to Paris she was also employed at Paris Orthopedic Clinic and YWCA. She belonged to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Mark Jones Sr. and Jack Rowe; a brother, Patrick Breit; and a sister, Eilene Breit.
Survivors include children, Mark Jones, Jr. of Plano, Matthew Jones of Wisconsin and Yvonne Jones of Santa Barbara, Calif.; grandchildren, Rachel Jones, Shawn Bryson, Brian Jones and Christopher Jones; one great-grandson; a brother, Dennis Breit; a sister, Yvonne Kufeldt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
