A Memorial Mass will be at 10 AM Friday, August 1, 2003 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Cloud, for Alex J. Bernick, age 63, who died unexpectedly at the St. Cloud Hospital. Friends may call after 9 AM Friday at the church. Burial will be private.
Alex was born in Sartell to John & Katherine (Becker) Bernick. He enlisted in the army in 1957. Alex married MaryAnn Schramel on May 20, 1961 in St. Augustine's Catholic Church, St. Cloud. Alex was a self-employed owner/operator truck driver. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Alex is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, MaryAnn, daughters, Cathy (Scott) Holthaus, Clearwater; Karen (Tony) Warner, South Haven; Jacqueline (Sean) Doan, Watkins; 7 grandchildren, brothers & sister, Stephen (Lucy), Albany; John, Jr., Topeka, KS; & Mary Ella (Fran) Kalusche, Minnetonka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dennis.
