The death of Mrs. Edward Magee came as a shock, entirely unanticipated, on last Wednesday. She was stricken with heart disease on Tuesday night, and no human help could stay the hand of the grim monster. Mrs. Magee was, formerly , Miss Annie T. Hogg, a niece of ex-Governor Hogg of Texas. Beside her husband, she leaves a little son three years of age, to mourn her demise. Young and beautiful, with so much life apparently before her, it seems to mortal vision a strange Providence that has called her away; but His ways are are not our ways, and submission to the power that is above all, furnishes the only surcease of sorrow to wounded hearts. The sympathy of friends is extended to the bereaved.
