IRBELLA was born in NEW YORK CITY and attended the NYC Public School System where she graduated from WADLEIGH H.S. IRBELLA loved reading; she loved to write and especially LOVED CHILDREN. She followed in her MOTHER'S footsteps by ALWAYS TAKING CARS OF ANYONE IN NEED. She was known as the MOTHER TO THE MOTHERLESS; she always made room in her home for someone in need.
After high school, IRBELLA went on to become a LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST, worked at ALLEN HOME as a CNA and later at LENOX HILL HOSPITAL. She also worked as a Physical Therapist at KINGS HARBOR NURSING HOME where she retired in 1995.
IRBELLA was reared in the Gospel Spreading Church under the auspices of founder, L.S. MICHAUX, ELDER BRYANT, pastor and under the youth leadership of SIS. E. LITTLES. IRBELLA belonged to the No. 2 YOUNG PEOPLES CHOIR, the PURITY CLUB and the YOUNG PEOPLE'S UNION. She was a faithful member.
IRBELLA was blessed with four children, SHARON, ANTHONY, GENEICE & TONYA; two adopted children, JASON and SHANICE.
Irbella leaves to cherish her percious memory her husband GEORGE HENDRICKSON, her children, many grandchildren & great grandchildren, one brother HENRY LLOYD, close cousin, JESSIE M. HAILE, three stepchildren, KENYA, GEORGE, JAMES and a host of relatives & friends. She leaves two special daughters LILLIAN & CARLENE(CeCe).
