Horace M. Davis died at his home in Poolesville Friday noon after a three days illness of the infirmities of age, aged 85 years.
He was born on June 11, 1851 in Frederick county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Davis.
He was married in 1878 to Miss Mary E. Williams.
One daughter, Mrs. Marshall Hersberger, Poolesville; one son, Frank I. Davis, Poolesville, and one brother, Dr. Wilson Davis, Baltimore, survive.
Funeral Sunday morning at 11 o'clock from St. Peter's Episcopal church, Poolesville. Interment Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. W. B. Hilton, funeral director.
