Lynn Arnold Killian, 80, was born Aug. 16, 1935, in Pineville, Ark., the son of Walter Brian and Elsie Lou Killian. He died Jan. 23, 2016, at Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar.
He was reared and attended school in Arkansas. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was united in marriage with Wilma Florence Ward on March 15, 1957. He was discharged from the Army in 1959, and they moved to Lenexa, Kan., where he worked at the Sunflower Ammunition Plant, Certainteed Fiberglass and then City Service Gas Company, where he started as a general laborer and worked his way up to management. After his retirement in 1995, they moved to Louisburg.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and helping others with anything they needed from something as small as a hug to working on their cars or mowers.
He also enjoyed dancing at the Moonshiners Dance Cub with his special friend Jane Wolfe, playing pitch with friends and having coffee with his buddies at Hardee’s.
He was loved by all who knew him and was a friend to everyone he met. He had a great sense of humor and loved being around babies and little kids.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma; four brothers: Dub, Earl, Verner and Joe Killian; and his sister, Lillian Gentry.
