The Gotha, Fla., native lived in Savannah 35 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific War Zone.
He retired from Savannah Gas Co. and was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and a former member of the German Friendly Society.
He was the widower of Connie C. Nehrling.
SURVIVORS: his brother, Herbert Nehrling of California; and a nephew, Richard Nehrling of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2 p.m. Monday in Bonaventure Cemetery.
