Nancy, age 71, of Onalaska and formerly of La Crosse passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. She was born the daughter of Edward O. & Hilde (Rebhan) Richmond. On April 27, 1957, she married John Huerkamp in La Crescent, MN, and together they have shared over 52 beautiful years of marriage. Nancy owned and operated Nancy's Looking Glass in La Crosse. She was a square dancer for many years and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening in her spare time. Nancy loved spending time with her family, and she will be sadly missed. Survivors include her loving husband, John; four children, Jackie (Cliff) Brown and Edward Huerkamp, both of La Crosse, WI, Jo Anne Huerkamp of Holmen, WI, and Sheri Butterfield of La Crosse, WI; six grandchildren, Debbie, John, Jenny, Deena, Tommy and Zach-Ed; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Richmond of La Crosse, WI, Sue Richmond of Golden Valley, MN, and Chris (Marty) Severson of Sparta, WI; one brother, Don (Amy Linn) Richmond of Onalaska, WI; many nieces and nephews; and her special friend, "Rusty." She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Beth Sackmaster; and her son-in-law, Steve Butterfield. Memorial services was held at Woodruff-Jandt Funeral Home, La Crosse. The Rev. Pat Umberger officiated. A private family burial was held.
