Mrs. Mame Boitano, Former Groveland Resident, Dies in S. F.
Mrs. Mame Boitano, 56, former resident of Tuolumne County, died in a San Francisco hospital Monday afternoon following an extended illness. A native of Groveland, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer; she made her home at Groveland for many years, but during the past year she had lived in Oakdale.
Funeral services were held from the Burden Chapel at 1:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with Rev. Chester Hill of St. James Episcopal Church officiating. Interment was in the Oak Grove cemetery on the Divide, near Groveland.
Mrs. Boitano leaves her husband, Joseph Boitano, of Oakdale; a daughter, Mrs. Velma Bates, of Berkeley; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Martinez, Groveland; an aunt, Mrs. Nora Mogen, Groveland; an uncle, Tim Carlin, of San Francisco; a grandson, Philip Bates, Berkeley. She was a sister of the late John Meyer, prominent stockman of Sonora.
