On May 4, 1935, she was united in marriage to Frederick W. Haas in the Town of Marquette at home. Fred preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1992. The couple farmed together in their early years.
Laurina was a member of the Ripon Baptist Church, and in her younger years, she taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir, and belonged to various ladies organizations. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them at their school sports.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Davison of Fond du Lac, and Darlene (Jerry) Clark of Markesan; seven grandchildren, Douglas Davison of Fond du Lac, Daniel (Teri) Davison of Markesan, Debra (Calvin) Hopp of Fond du Lac, Jeff Clark of East Friesland, Bryan (Dana) Clark of Oshkosh, Jon (Stacy) Clark of Markesan, and Brad (Erin) Clark of Oshkosh; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Feldt of Sun Prairie; three sisters-in-law, Edna and Irene Stellmacher of Markesan, and Lillian Franke of Beaver Dam; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; one son-in-law, Edward Davison; her grandson's wife, Coleen Davison; four brothers, Harold, Roland, Forrest, and Milan Stellmacher; and two sisters, Sylvia Welk and Arvilla Steers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at the Ripon Baptist Church in Ripon with the Rev. Doug Hanback officiating. Burial will be at the Country Memorial Garden Cemetery in the Town of Marquette.
