Genevieve Geneva V. Wolford, 85, of Coral, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana. She was born March 4, 1924 in Dilltown, a daughter of Julius and Louisa Bevilacqua Grassani. A member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Mrs. Wolford retired from Homer-Center School District in 1985 after 15 years of employment. She is survived by two sons, Kevin and wife Maliya, Coral, and Mark and wife Lisa, Latrobe; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Caitlin, Gabe, Ben and Louis Wolford and David and Holly Nicholson; a sister, Eva Cravotta, Black Lick; many nieces and nephews, special niece Barbara and husband Bob Worcester, Homer City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Wolford; a brother, Joseph Grassoni; and four sisters, Mary Pernici, Jenny Cerovich, Emma Yanoschick and Della Fiveash. A Vigil service and a Blessing Service was held at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site, with Rev. Fr. Terry Hercik, the celebrant. Interment followed in the St. Francis Cemetery, Coral.
