The family changed the spelling of their surname from Keane to Kane.
Lizzie died from influenza during the 1903 epidemic, leaving a husband and 2 children to mourn her death. Her grave is unmarked; It is not even located on the cemetery map. I was told by a representative of St. Mary's Catholic Church (keeper of the cemetery records) that most of the flu victims lie in unmarked graves.
She was the sister of Nell, John Morris, Parnell, William (Bill) and Edith Barber.
Thank you to Julia & Keld for sponsoring my grandmother's memorial. It means a great deal to me.
