Delores Knott 1924-2007
OTTAWA -- Delores L. "Torchy" Knott, 83, of Ottawa, died Sunday, April 8, at Community Hospital of Ottawa.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Columba Church with the Rev. Ronald Dodd officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4 and Catholic Daughters of America in attendance.
Mrs. Knott was born March 18, 1924, in Ottawa, to Theodore and Genevieve (Thiry) Mettille. She married Lawrence E. "Gene" Knott on Feb. 1, 1947, at St. Columba Church. He died Feb. 26, 1995.
She was an interior decorator and a member of St. Columba Church and CDA.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Waddell of Sheridan, Cheri (Al) Halm of Ottawa and Linda Mousseau of Stanton, Calif.; three sons, Jerry (Cheryl) Mettille, Larry (Debbie) Knott and Randy (Carol) Knott, all of Ottawa; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Evelyn Shanley of Kirland, Wash.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Mettille, and a grandson, Tyler Knott.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Perry Waddell, Kurt Halm, Jeremiah P. Mettille and Travis, Corey and Ryan Knott.
Memorials may be directed to Marquette High School or Masses.
