Fred, age 60, of Waterloo, formerly of Broadview, IL, died Thursday at HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg, following a 12 year battle with leukemia and Hodgkins disease. Beloved husband, of Lorna (nee McGuin); dear father, of Larry, Katie, the late Matthew and the late Daniel; son of Pamela Hinz of Cambridge, WI, and the late George Bredehorn of Elgin, IL. Further survived by sister, Anita (John) Burchard of Las Vegas, NV; stepmother, Mary Jane Bredehorn of Elgin, IL; and mother-in-law, Dorothy McGuin of Westchester, IL. Also survived by numerous brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews. Memorial service was held at Prairie Springs Church, Sun Prairie, WI, Pastor Ken will be officiating on Monday and a Funeral Mass was held at St. Eulalia Church, Maywood, IL, on Tuesday with the Rev. James V. Quinlan will officiate. Fred's family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at the Madison VA Hospital, especially to Elizabeth Silverman, MD, Natalie Callander, MD, Pamela Hansen, APNP, and the infusion center staff members, Pat, Deb, Ronnie, Jackie, Susan and Laurie for their unwavering commitment to his care. We also thank the staff at HospiceCare, Inc. for their loving, compassionate care of Fred in his final hours. Special thanks to Maria Johnson, RN of HospiceCare, Inc.
