Mina married first Simeon Dell born 15 May 1796 in Georgia. They were married in 1849 near Hague, Alachua County, Florida. Simeon died 3 October 1869 in Alachua County, Florida. Both are buried in the Dell Family Cemetery near Alachua, Florida. Mina buried beside Simeon Dell.

Mina and Simeon Dell had seven children.

4. Mina Florence Dell born 6 December 1858 in Alachua County, Florida; died 7 July 1859 in Alachua County, Florida.
5. Ellen Louise "Ella" Dell born 1 March 1861 in Alachua County, Florida; died 16 September 1883 in Alachua County, Florida.
6. Mary Lelia Dell born May 1864 in Alachua County, Florida; died 1950 in Alachua County, Florida.
7. Simeon Warren Dell born 13 December 1865 in Alachua County, Florida' died 29 August 1867 in Alachua County, Florida.

Second Mina married Thomas W. Downing on 23 January 1873 in Alachua County, Florida; Thomas born September 1832 in Alabama; died 5 March 1904 in Alachua County, Florida. No children.

Obituary Downing

Mrs. Mina Downing, nee Mina Warren, born Dec. 8 1827; died Oct 30, 1910. She was first married to Mr. Simeon Dell and to this marriage was born seven children, three sons and four daughters. Five children preceded her, leaving two living at the time of her death, Mr. F.B. Dell and Mrs. W.H. Traxler. After Mr. Dell's death, she lived as a widow for four years: she then married Mr. T. W. Downing, Jan 23, 1873. She was again left a widow seven years ago. She united with the Methodist church in 1867; up to that time she had been a member of the Baptist church. In her death, the family, church and community have lost one of their choicest characters. She was indeed a true helper in all good works; ready to serve in any way and anywhere that might be required of her; her home was truly a resting place for the weary itinerant preacher. In her life was beautifully blended the double characteristics of Mary and Martha; with Martha she delighted to serve and with Mary she had learned that good part sitting at the feet of Jesus. The writer had the pleasure of being her pastor for four years and spent many happy and profitable hours in her home. And as we stood by her grave on that beautiful, bright October evening, the sun going down in the west and not a cloud to obstruct its brightness, we said: "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" but thank God, the sunlight of her godly life will continue with its shimmering sheen of mellow rays to light up the pathway of many that will emulate her example.

Besides her two children, she leaves a brother, Mr. Sol. Warren, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and other relatives and many friends to mourn her death. She is gone, but we know where to find her. God bless her son and daughter and may they live for mother's God, is my prayer.
