Iota - Funeral services for Mable LeJeune Doucet, 88, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. David Broussard will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Jules Cemetery in Tee Mamou. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Monday at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Iota. A rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Mrs. Doucet died at 11:44 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2001 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
She was a long-time member of of St. Joseph Catholic Church Altar Society and had been a resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home for the past serveral years.
She is survived by two sons, Lester Gotte Gotte of Longdale, Okla. and William Gotte of Thibodaux; one daughter, Anna Mae Gotte Lacombe (Albert J. Lacombe, Jr.) of Iota, two step-sons, Gibson Miller of Iota & Lubert Miller of Jennings; eight step-daughters, Marynell Fontenot of Durald, Louella Holmes of Lafayette, Gertis Bergeaux of Jennings and Clara Miller, Ethel Hewett, Louella Gotte, Lillie LeJeune and Delores McFarlain all of Iota, 38 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death were spouses, Rev. Webb Gotte, Sr., Dominic Miller and Allan T. Doucet
