Ada Mae (Wilkey) Day was the daughter of Willis Wilson and Mamie A. (Scott) Wilkey. Channing Madison Brown was her 1st husband. They were married July 30, 1925. Channing died March 13, 1983. Henry "Harry" Alfred Day was her 2nd husband. They were married in Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1927. Henry died April 2, 1984. They were the parents of Sandra (Day) O'Connor, 1st woman appointed Associate Justice of Supreme Court of the United States 1981-2006.

Ashes of Harry Alfred Day and Ada Mae Wilkey Day, were spread atop of Round Mountain. Sandra Day O'Connor has expressed that her ashes are also spread atop the mountain when she dies, according to her brother, Alan Day.
