Mrs. Kaluza was born September 24, 1922, in Abbott, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Dvorak) Marek. She attended the Denton school near West.

Aline was a homemaker and helped on the farm. She enjoyed cooking, baking, singing, sewing, reading and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. You could always find her in the kitchen making homemade bread, kolaches, noodles, chocolate buchta, and her awesome angel food cake. In the later afternoons, you would see her outdoors gardening, chopping in her flower beds, and taking care of her chickens, cats, and dog, Buster.

She was a woman of prayer and recited the rosary for her family before she went to bed each night. She was a very faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829.
