"John Troeger, 61, a native of Livingston county, died at his home in Sampsel township Tuesday shortly after noon following an illness of five years. Funeral services will be held at Mt Olive church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Mt Olive cemetery.

Mr. Troeger was born on a farm just a short distance from the home where he died. He had resided in Livingston county his entire life.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, John and Lawrence; a daughter, Mrs. Epperson; two brothers, William Troeger of Mooresville and Pete Troeger of Sampsel; three sisters, Mrs. John Zullig, Mrs. L. Stevens and Mrs. Charles Wilson, all of Sampsel township." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, August 29, 1935
