MRS. HENRY LANDMEIER

Miss Emma Fechtmann was born at Flat Creek, Dupage county, Ill. July 6, 1849. Her father died when she was eight years old, then she lived some time with her uncle, Rev. Alberte, in Long Grove, where she attended school. At the age of 14 years she was confirmed by Rev. Moecklin at St. John's church in Addison township. Dec. 7, 1866 she was married to Heinrich Landmeier. This union was blessed with nine children, 6 sons and 3 daughters; four of the loved ones, Emil, George, Ida and Martha have gone before to greet their parents on the heavenly shore.

Mr. Landmeier died Feb. 13, 1912.

Mrs. Landmeier had always enjoyed good health until a year ago when she was stricken with a complication of diseases from which she suffered painfully, but patiently. The last few weeks she seemed to recover and hope was entertained, but she was called home. Mrs. Landmeier died at 6 o'clock Wednesday evening, Nov. 19, 1913, at her home in Bensenville, aged 64 years, 5 months, 13 days. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Wagner, was held Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Friedens church. It was the largest ever seen in Bensenville. Relatives and friends came from near and far to pay their respects for deceased and show their sympathy to the bereaved. The casket was covered with most beautiful floral tributes. Freidens church and Martha Verein have each lost an esteemed member. We shall miss, but not forget her.
