LEOTI - Helen Mae Kean Smades, 96, died Dec. 9, 2009, in Leoti. Helen was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Tribune to Harry and Ethel O'Neal Kean.
On June 10, 1934, she married Bob E. Smades at Russell Springs. He died on March 28, 1983. Survivors include: a daughter Noreen Walk; a son, Jack; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Leoti. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Leoti. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery in rural Wichita County. Memorials may be made to the Wichita County Fire Department of the United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
