Mrs. Simon Hufnagel, 77, long time resident of Lenox, died at 10 p. m. Friday at the Rosary hospital in Corning. She had been in ill health for some tune after suffering a stroke.
Obituary
Ella A. Walter, daughter of Henri and Louisa Walter, was born November the 21st, 1874 in Adams county, Mercer township near Lenox, Iowa; and passed this life at the Rosary hospital in Corning, February the 29th, 1952.

On April the 6th, 1896, she was united in marriage with Simon F. Hufnagel. To this union was born one son. Frankie, who died at the age of 14. Ella was one of 11 children, four sisters and seven brothers. Preceding her in death were the son Frankie, one infant sister, and three brothers, Edward, John and Henry.

Surviving are the husband; two sisters, Mrs. Maleba Ely of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Delia Pierce, of Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers, Jacob, Andrew, Louis and Ben Walter, all of Lenox; and many other relatives and friends.

She united with the Methodist church when a young lady. The Bible was a much used book in her home where she quietly enjoyed the good things of life, tenderly cared for her flowers and lived the life of a loyal and devoted wife and a good neighbor.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Harold Butts at the Arnold Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon. Music was furnished by Rolland Buxton and Norma Paymal. Pallbearers: Orval Walter, Harry Walter, Julian Walter, Henrv Walter, Dale Walter and Lonnle Walter. Interment In Fairview cemetery.
