BRANDT Mr. David A. Brandt, age 72 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Capital Region Medical Center. Mr. Brandt was born September 9, 1933 in Morrison, Mo., the son of Irving and Anna Otto Brandt, both deceased. He was married on April 30, 1960 in Jefferson City, Mo. to Annie M. Herx, who survives at the home. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Mr. Brandt attended Jefferson City Public Schools. He served in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1956 in the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the Jefferson City Fire Department for 18 years prior to his retirement as a Captain in 1981. He was a Golden Age Eagle with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wyman Basinger Post 35; a member of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5; and a member of the Firefighters Local 671. Other survivors include: one daughter, Julie Schweer and her husband Jim of JeffersonCity, Mo.; four grandchildren, Josh Barbour and his wife Erin Jennifer Barbour, Jacob Schweer, and Justin Schweer and his wife Christy; one great grandchild, Erica Schweer; two sisters, Janet Lippold of Clearwater, Florida and Jeri Sorrenson and her husband Lloyd, of Billings, Montana; 10 nieces and nephews; and one aunt, Teckla Nations. An Eagles Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006 in the FreemanChapel under the Auspices of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693. Graveside services and interment with Military Honors will be conducted at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Freeman Mortuary from 9-11:30 a.m. Thursday.
