Mrs. Mildred Beran, 72, Janesville, died in Mercy Hospital Dec. 21.

She was born Aug. 3, 1889 in Richland county. Her marriage to Joseph H. Beran took place March 31, 1914. They farmed in this area for several years.

Mr. Beran died May 19, 1957. She was a member of the Milton Junction Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert Davis Jr., Boulder, Colo., Mrs. Howard Schmeling and Mrs. Thomas Snyder, both of Janesville; three sons, Wayne of Milton, Joseph of Whitewater and Archie of Milton Junction, a granddaughter, Sandra Beran, who lived with her and 18 other grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Otto Schoonover and Mrs. Ed Schoonover of Janesville. Two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Dec. 23, at the Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton Junction, the Rev. Gerald Tanquist officiating.

Kenneth Babcock gave the song service. Burial was in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. Pallbearers were Jens Everson, Gilbert Birky, Ralph Rogers, Griffith, Keith and Virgil Schoonover.
