Eleanor Louise Roberts, 72, passed away peacefully in her Parkville, MO home on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 with her family at her side.
A loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, Ellie was born in Norborne, MO on April 26, 1935. She worked for many years as a secretary for S.O.R. Inc. and more recently for the Platte County Regional Sewer District in Parkville. She greatly enjoyed her service on the Walnut Creek Homes Association Board, where she held the office of treasurer. Ellie was a uniquely strong woman with a wonderful sense of humor who filled her life with simple joys. She loved the music of Elvis Presley and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and NASCAR's Carl Edwards. She cherished long walks with her dear friends, as well as the time she spent in her backyard tending to her flowers and bird feeders.
Survivors include: her husband, James R. "Dick" Roberts; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzie M. Lohnes, and her husband, Randy, of Kansas City; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott P. Erhart and his wife, Vicki, of Van Buren, AR.; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald F. Miller and his wife, Virginia, of Richmond, MO; four grandchildren, Kylie L. and Brady J. Lohnes, and Scotti L. and Ethan P. Erhart; two nieces, Sandra Bock, of Kansas City, MO and Vicki Johnson, of Hardin, MO; and one nephew, Dennis Stratton, of Brighton, MI.
Her parents, Della F. and Earl J. Miller, one sister and brother-in-law, Earlene F. Stratton and her husband, Clyde "C.L.", and a nephew, Jeffrey D. Miller, preceded her in death.
