Mrs. Alice E. Carl, of New London, CT, formerly of Vinton, died Sat. at 11:30 p.m. in New London at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. E. Weyer.
The deceased was born in Urbana Nov. 18, 1866, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Turner. She married N. P. Carl on May 3, 1887. He died in 1926. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Carl is survived by one son, Durward Carl of Cedar Rapids and her daughter, Mrs. Weyer. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Johnson of Clinton, Mrs. G. A. Brooks and Mrs. Viola Ellison, both of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Clayton Turner of San Francisco and B. J. Turner of Vinton.
Funeral services will be Wed. at 3 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Home.
