Mrs. Lillian S. Skinner,
91, of Lakeside Terrace, Old
Forge, a longtime Deansboro
resident, died Thursday, July
8, 1999, in St. Luke's-Memorial
Hospital Center,
Town of New Hartford.
She was born May 16,
1908, in Brooklyn, daughter
of John and Anna Spartnick
Strodthoff. In 1929 she was
married to Col. Winslow
Cornett. Col. Cornett died in
1959. She worked as a payroll
clerk at the Waterville
Knitting Mill until her retirement
in 1972, when she married
George Skinner. Mr.
Skinner died in 1981. Mrs.
Skinner lived in Deansboro
from 1951 until December
1998 when she moved to Old
Forge. She was a member of
the Deansboro Methodist
Church.
She leaves two daughters
Mrs. Joseph (Bette) Rintrona
of Old Forge and Mrs. William
(Barbara) Fry of Ithaca;
three grandchildren Kathryn
Fry of Boston, Abigail Fry of
Portland, Ore., and Matthew
Rintrona of Old Forge; two
sisters Emma Wolf of
Plattsburgh and Helen Raven
of Valhalla; nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Saturday
from the Owens-Pavlot
Funeral Service Inc. 35 College
St., Clinton, with the
burial in Deansboro Cemetery.
