Janie Kemmerlin Culler, 94, of Orangeburg, died March 14, 2011, after an extended illness. Mrs. Culler was the widow of Willis Calhoun Culler.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday March 18, 2011 at Limestone United Methodist Church with the Rev. John M. Williams III officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Steven, David and Michael Gardner, Phillip, Douglas and Willis Felkel, Will, Ben and Cade Culler, and Matthew Beckham.

Mrs. Culler was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Walter Wise Kemmerlin and Maggie Syfrett Kemmerlin. She was co-owner of Gerwil Poultry Company and a homemaker, being remembered especially for her love of her family, her pets and her cooking talent. Mrs. Culler was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Culler was preceded in death by four brothers Marion L., Walter W., Raymond H., and Rudolph H. Kemmerlin and three sisters Lois K. Arant, Ruth K. Wardlow and Dorothy K. Arant; grandchildren Harvey Evans Felkel III and Jay Culler Gardner and great-grandchild James Evan Martin Felkel. Survivors include four daughters Jeanette C. Gardner and husband JC , Junelle C. Felkel and husband Harvey, Patricia C. Watson and husband Al all of Orangeburg and Sandra C. Zemp and husband Sidney of St. Matthews; two sons Willis C. Culler, Jr. of Orangeburg and Gerald L. Culler and wife Judy of Lexington; a daughter-in-law Sandra W. Perry and husband Jim; a sister Vivian K. Dawson; a brother J. Clyde Kemmerlin and wife Miriam; sisters-in-law Nelda Kemmerlin and Sybil Kemmerlin, all of Orangeburg and June Kemmerlin Matzner of Mt. Pleasant; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Limestone United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Mary Agnes French, 1013 Deer Crossing Rd., Orangeburg, SC 29118, Grove Park Hospice, 1324 Grove Park NE, Orangeburg, 29115, or Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202-7044.
