Florence Hergenreter, age 81, Feb. 9, 1925 - Dec. 11, 2006.

Residence in Evans.


Florence Marie Hergenreter was born in Brighton to Casper and Margaret (Gallinger) Rosenbach. Mrs. Hergenreter died Monday at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.


On May 19, 1942, she married Melger "Mel" Hergenreter in Sterling.


She farmed with her husband in the Sterling and Brush area and in 1967, they moved to Platteville where they were turkey farmers. They moved to Evans in 1979. She was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church and she enjoyed ceramics, puzzles, gardening and her family. She had a great sense of humor.


Survivors, her husband, Mel Hergenreter of Evans; a son, Donald Hergenreter and wife Susan of Greeley; daughters, Carol Swinson and husband Michael of Nederland, Texas, Pamela Rudiger and husband Jake of Greeley and Melinda Kapp of Evans; seven grandchildren, Troy and Ryan Hergenreter, Holly Valentine, Patrick Swinson, Roxanne Francis, Jared Rudiger and Shannon Kapp; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Brennan Valentine.


Preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.


Memorial Rosary 7 p.m. Wednesday at Adamson West Chapel. Memorial mass 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint Mary Catholic Church.
