Marie was born the daughter of Henry & Elizabeth Recker Schnieder near Lismore, MN. She grew up on the family farm and attended St. Anthony's Catholic School. Marie was united in marriage to Arthur Kirchner on May 23, 1950 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lismore, MN. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Avoca, MN. Marie continued to live on the farm after Art's death in February 1988. In November of 2004 she moved to the Peterson Estates in Westbrook, MN. Marie passed away at the Our House Hospice Home. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Church, where she belonged to the CCW. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, crocheting, playing cards, prime timers and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Art & Marie were the parents of Elaine (Wayne) Fenicle, Jane (Dennis) Plaetz, Earl Kirchner, Gene Kirchner, Arlene (Gene) Bloemendaal, & Rita Kirchner.

Marie's siblings inlcude Al Schnieder, Reinhold, Ted, Francis, Ludwig, Hyginus Schnieder, Regina Snieder, Monica Schnieder, Bernadette Hullerman and Callistus.

Funeral Services at St. Gabriel's Church Fulda, MN, Fr. Bob Horihan officiating.
