Linda E. 'Spider' Massie, age 58 of St. Paris, died Friday afternoon, December 25, 2009 in her residence following a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born in Springfield on December 24, 1951 the daughter of the late Ora and Pearl (Stewart) Evans.
Linda retired from Honda of America in Marysville.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brandon and Danielle Massie with whom she made her home and Brent Massie of Columbus; three granddaughters, Harlie "Angel," Lexus "Bear," and Peyton "Guppy" Massie; four siblings and spouses, Jerry and Pat Evans of Springfield, Nancy Summers and Debbie and Mike Weckwerth, all of Missouri, and Donise and Tom Jordan of Springfield; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Elaine Massie; a nephew, Shawn Massie; and dear family friends, John Canestraro and Marlene Roark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Massie in 2005.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Linda's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Mutual Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
