Pauline Hill(1926 - 2009)
Pauline Hill, 83, of Rexburg, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at Madison Memorial Hospital of natural causes with her children by her side. She was born April 20, 1926, in Newdale to Johan and Katherina Kruger Ostermiller.
She married Donald R. Hill on March 17, 1949, in Newdale. They had five children. Donald died Sept. 4, 1991. She married Pete Genther on April 19, 2000, in Elko, Nev. He died September 29, 2009.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking for her family, sewing, camping, gardening, and until her health would no longer let her, she loved to bowl. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her children and grandchildren.
She worked for many years in potato-processing plants. She worked at Idaho Fresh Pack and at Basic American Food. She retired in 1990.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Darla) Hill of Pocatello, Patty (Merlin) Wilding of Idaho Falls, Ken (Shawna) Hill of Rexburg, Kathy (Terry) Beemer of Menan and Neil (Yvonne) Hill of Clinton, Utah; siblings Max Ostermiller of West Jordan, Utah, and Beverly Jenkins of Ashton; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, six brothers, three sisters, two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at the Burton LDS Chapel with Bishop Tim McGarry officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Burton Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
