Carl Ksionda

Funeral services for Carl Ksionda will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 1996 at First Baptist Church, Brazoria, with Pastor Robin Butler officiating. Interment will be at Woodmen of the World Cemetery in Rosenberg immediately following the service.

Ksionda was born to Frank and Anna Ksionda on January 3, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force in WW II, and worked as a pipe fitter for Dow Chemical until his retirement in 1986. Ksionda was an ordained Baptist deacon and member of the First Baptist Church, Brazoria.

In addition to his parents, Ksionda was preceded in death by his first wife, Robbie Fern; his daughtr, Robbie Belle, and one sister, Jay Ksionda.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy, of Brazoria, son and daughter-in-law, D. M. "Skip" and Mary Sue Ksionda of Sweeny; two daughters and sons-in-law; Carla and Larry Doolen of Beaumont, and Micah and Mike Duckett of Texas City; brother and sister-in-law, George and Mary Ksionda of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters and brother-in-law; Emma Manchinsky and Helen and Joe Garacin, all of Chicago; stepchildren: David and Pauline Singleton of Vernon Texas; Sharon and Butch Smith of Dobbin, Texas; Elaine Batiste of Dallas; Carol and George Williamson of Anchorage, Alaska; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Serving as pall bearers will be Dutch, Derek and Kyle Duckett, Jeremy Ksionda, Geoff Povinelli, David Singleton, Butch Smith and George Williamson. Honorary pall bearers will be Mike Duckett, Larry Doolen, Michael Batiste, Jason Doolen, Jimmy Smith and members of Caleb Sunday School Class.

Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter 8705 Katy Freeway, Ste. #405, Houston, Texas 77034.

Visitation begins 8 p.m. Thursday, May 23 at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home, 1201 Fourth St., Rosenberg. Funeral services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors, Rosenberg, Texas.
