CLIMAX Frank Herbert Latta, 88, a resident of the Climax area for 34 years, died Saturday afternoon at the home of his son, Earl Latta, in Climax township. He had been a farmer and for several years was janitor of the Climax school. He was born in Niagara county, New. York, May 14, 1860, the son of George and Mary Schmeck Latta. Besides the son, Earl, Mr. Latta is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Irma Pierce of Climax; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a step-grandchild. His wife, Mrs. Emma Latta, died several years ago. Services will be held at the Burk & Hoag funeral home at 2 p. m. Tuesday. The Rev. Glenn Jager will officiate and burial will be made in the Climax cemetery. Battle Creek Enquirer
