NEW KNOXVILLE - Robert F. Curts, 71, 06874 Cloverleaf Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys following an extended illness.

He was born Aug, 20. 1938, in St. Marys, the son of the late Alfred and Pearl (Burden) Curts.

He married Sandra Elshoff Sept, 26, 1959, and she survives him.

He is also survived by their two daughters, Debra (Clay) Rodeheffer of New Knoxville and Annette (Barton) Shuster of Kettlersville; six grandchildren, Luke Rodeheffer, Betsy Rodeheffer, Heidi Shuster, Ryan Shuster, Tyler (Hillery) Shuster, and Ben Shuster; and a brother, Edward Curts of Celina. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was a 1956 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He enjoyed walking and riding bicycles, working on his motorcycle, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville.

He was retired from the Hoge Brush Company in New Knoxville.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at First United Church of Christ by the Rev, David Williams. Burial will follow in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Heritage Room of First United Church of Christ.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville.
