Valeria Frieda Greiger was born on June 27, 1905 in Pleasant Mound Township, Blue Earth County, MN to William and Lillie (Zempel) Greiger. She was baptized on July 16, 1905 by Rev. Carl Messerle at Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon Township. On April 13, 1919 Valeria was confirmed by Rev. Messerle at Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon Township. She attended school at the Trinity Lutheran School-Fieldon Township. On September 3, 1922, Valeria was united in marriage to Walter Boeck by Rev. Louis Lemke at Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon Township. They lived and farmed in Pleasant Mound Township. Walter died on October 27, 1990. Valeria moved into the Lutheran Manor shortly after Walter's death. On December 10, 2007 she moved to Truman Senior Living. Valeria was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Willow Creek and its Ladies Aid. She was past organist for Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon. Valeria enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, sewing, and loved her dog, Shane. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Boeck died on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Truman Senior Living Center, Truman.
Valeria is survived by one son Orval and his wife Luetta of Lewisville, MN; three grandchildren, Irene Pfeffer of Mankato, Mark Boeck of Lewisville, Carol Boeck of Austin, TX; three great grandchildren Darcy Gillespie, Derek Pfeffer, Darin Pfeffer (Sarah); four great, great grandchildren, Jesse Geiger, Brooklyn Pfeffer, Ben Boeck and Sophie Boeck. Valeria was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Ivan Boeck; one daughter-in-law, Lorna Boeck; one granddaughter, Cheryl Boeck and one infant granddaughter; and by one brother, Reinhardt Greiger.
