Rudolph John Homolka, son of Frank and Christina (Sterba) Homolka, was born on a farm near Munden 21 Feb 1918 and died Sunday 1 Apr 1990 at Heartland Care Center in Belleville at the age of 72 years, one month and 10 days.
He grew up in the Munden area and attended Rose Creek Center School graduating in the eighth grade.
4 Dec 1940 he married Evelyn Mae Klima and to this union one daughter was born.
In 1946 the couple moved to Chester where he worked as a meat cutter and was active in the Chester Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of the home; his daughter Sharon Stroede of Beloit, his brother Henry of Placerville, Calif.; two sisters, Bessie Hanson of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., Adeline Chisek of Concordia; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 4 Apr at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Chapel with Revs. Don Zimmerman and James Woldhuis officiating. Burial was in Chester Cemetery.
